How It Works

When you open a tool and select a PDF, the file is read directly by your browser using the File API. All editing — merging, splitting, rotating, metadata changes — is performed using the pdf-lib library running inside your browser tab. The processed result is then offered as a download, generated entirely on your device.

No file is ever transmitted to our servers. In fact, our servers only serve the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files that make the tools work — they never see your PDF data.

Why Browser-Based?

Traditional online PDF tools upload your files to a remote server for processing, which raises legitimate privacy concerns — especially for contracts, financial statements, medical records, and confidential business documents. Our approach is different: everything stays local.

This means faster processing (no upload wait time), zero privacy risk, no file size limits imposed by a server, and the ability to work offline once the page has loaded.
