What is PDF Rotation?

PDF rotation changes the visual orientation of pages — useful when a scan was made upside down or sideways, or when landscape pages need to display in portrait orientation.

How to Use This Tool

  1. Upload your PDF file.
  2. Choose the pages to rotate (all pages, or a specific range like 1-3, 5).
  3. Pick the rotation angle: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise.
  4. Click "Rotate PDF" and download the result.

Rotation is applied at the page level inside the PDF itself, meaning every PDF viewer (Acrobat, browsers, mobile) will display the corrected orientation.

Common Use Cases

  • Fixing scans made with the scanner glass oriented incorrectly.
  • Rotating landscape pages in a portrait document for easier reading.
  • Correcting auto-rotation glitches from older scanning software.

Tips

  • Use 90° clockwise for pages that appear rotated counter-clockwise.
  • Rotation is reversible — apply 270° if you rotated too far.

▤ QUESTIONS
01 Does rotation reduce PDF quality? +

No. The rotation is a metadata change inside the PDF and does not re-encode any page content.

02 Can I rotate different pages by different angles? +

Run the tool multiple times — each run applies one angle to one set of pages.

03 Is the rotation visible everywhere? +

Yes. The rotation is saved into the PDF page dictionary, so every standard PDF viewer respects it.
